Starting a business requires you to complete a number of steps and make some key decisions. Within this section, we’ll identify the organizations that can help you in starting your business.
The City of Greenville Economic Development Department has created an interactive web site of available commercial properties in the city called Greenville Prospector. The site includes listing details such as building descriptions, lease rates, sales prices and broker contacts for each site. Searches for properties can be conducted using a variety of search criteria. Greenville Prospector is located at www.greenvilleprospector.com.
In addition to these property listings, Greenville Prospector can generate demographic reports around a selected site using radius rings and drive time analysis. These reports are often helpful in developing a Business Plan and contain statistics on population, age, income levels, race/ethnicity, etc. The City's Economic Development Department can generate additional demographic and consumer expenditure reports for City sites through its Geographic Information System (GIS). For more information about these reports, please call (864) 467-4401.
